OLIVE OIL AND CELLS MORTALITY.
The cells of our tissues are not eternal, throughout our lives, the cells are born and die, thus constantly renewing our tissues. They are born, multiply, fulfilling its role as the body of which they form a part, and then die. Necessity there must be a balance between the rate of proliferation and death of cells, so that the total number of them is maintained in a manner consistent. In breaking this balance could reach a critical situation, as both increase or by decreasing.
The olive oil consumption minimizes cell death, especially extra virgin olive oil.
During the past few years has begun to interest researchers what is the mechanism of the death of the cells. A recent study by the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and led by researcher Francis Muriana, whose central theme is the analysis of metabolic processes postprandiales (which are taking place right after eating food) has shown that consumption of extra virgin olive oil is benefit.

In this first phase of eating foods, the body absorbs fat that cause necrosis of the cells. This study has shown that the consumption of extra virgin olive oil (compared to the consumption of other fats), significantly reduces the death of monocytes (white blood cells that are the defenders of tissues such as the liver, spleen or lungs).
Olive is an essential ingredient in implementing the Extra Virgin Olive oil of Bajo Aragón.
The searching work, published in the Journal of Nutrition is conclusive, as it ensures that the Extra Virgin Olive Oil minimizes cell death caused by the absorption of fats during digestion.
