The red wine from Aragon is artisanally elaborated in oak barrels in the D'Aubert winery in Cretas, Spain.

The spanish D'Aubert red wine ages during a period not lower than two years and a half in traditional wineries aging in oak barrels.

Aging the spanish wine in oak barrels softens and stabilizes the wine texture.

Other of the oak barrel effects is to polimerize the wine's tannines giving a much more pleasant sensation in the palate.

The oak barrels have others effects into wine, apart from the ones mentioned before, they can add a soft vanilla, coconut, chocolate, toasted, caramel, smoke or coffee depending on how oak wood was toasted.
